Case Real Estate Capital, LLC (Case), a commercial real estate investment firm with discretionary capital, has announced a strategic promotion and new hire to support planned growth. The company concentrates on deals in the $2.5 million to $40 million range for transitional assets located in the New York metro area and south Florida as well as in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.

On the executive level, Aysha Cox, who is based in the company’s south Florida office, has been promoted to vice president. In this capacity, she will take a leadership role in sourcing and originating loans, underwriting and managing the company’s diverse investment portfolio.

“Aysha’s deep industry knowledge, experience and commitment to exceptional client service will continue to play an important role in our company’s expansion, particularly in regard to our portfolio in south Florida,” said Chris Mavros, principal and CFO of Case. “We congratulate her on this well-deserved promotion.”

Case is active as a high-yield private lender; a financier of transitional properties; a purchaser of performing, sub- and non-performing debt; and a mezzanine and equity investor. Its funds can be deployed as note purchases, bridge and acquisition loans or rescue and restructure capital.

Case Welcomes Eric Hakim

Eric Hakim has joined the company as an investment analyst. In this role, Hakim will assist in the underwriting, due diligence and modeling of high-yield loans, and assist management in all aspects of origination. Previously, Hakim served as a quantitative equity/options analyst and assistant portfolio manager for Toro Fund, LP in Jupiter, Fla., where he developed systematic-based long/short equity and option trading models and managed portfolio risk and optimization. Prior to that, he worked at The Clearing House Association in New York City and Morgan Stanley Wealth Management in Paramus, N.J.

“Eric has strong analytic skills as well as a proven quantitative and qualitative acumen,” noted Sanford Herrick, founder and managing principal of Case. “His diverse experience will serve as a valuable asset to our team, and we are pleased to welcome him to Case.”

To further create opportunities for property owners and developers, Case originates lower-interest loans in the $2 million to $8 million range for properties nearing stabilization. The investment and origination expertise of Case’s principals adds further value to the company’s investments and loans for all asset types, including industrial, multi-family, residential for-sale, land, retail and office.
